S.PELLEGRINO WILL APPEAR A NEW HOUSE

September 27 was a historic day for S. Pellegrino: the first stone of the long-awaited new Plant of the Future was laid. The event began with a morning conference held for the Italian press in the presence of prominent representatives of the local authorities and with speeches by Sanpellegrino CEO Federico Sarzi Braga, Danish architect and tender winner Bjarke Ingels and mayor of San Pellegrino Terme Vittorio Millesi.

“Today we are laying the first stone of the plant, which will open the way for us to the future,” said Sarzi Braga. – This plant is a pearl of design and innovation, able to attract tourists from all over the world. The philosophy within which the plant is designed reflects the brand’s values ​​and the company’s commitment to the concept of “Made in Italy.” It is based on the desire to talk about such an amazing, non-relocatable asset as S. Pellegrino mineral water, creating values ​​that unite the community, and improving working conditions for our employees. ”

“At S. Pellegrino, we believe in the development of shared values ​​and social responsibility,” added Sarzi Braga. “As part of this approach, we focus on three key points. The plant of the future should be people-oriented. He will work on a human scale and make his employees a top priority. Together with this key approach, we want to integrate the surrounding area, placing the local community in the spotlight and developing new transportation concepts. Thanks to this, S. Pellegrino will become the latest marketing tool. Guests will be taken to the Visitor Center, which will provide information about the area and its water resources. In this way, each person will be actively immersed in the context of the Brembana Valley. ”

The design of the Future Factory S. Pellegrino was created by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group), a world-renowned architectural firm that has become synonymous with excellent design quality. An example of this is more than two dozen outstanding projects, including the VIA 57 West Building in New York, the Serpentine Gallery in London, the Danish Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo.

The design of the Plant of the Future S. Pellegrino was developed using modern lines while rethinking the historical traditions of the liberty style. It emphasizes the timeless turns and bends of the mountains and bridges that distinguish the Brembana Valley, and seamlessly integrates into the surrounding landscape, blurring the line between the workspace and the Visitor Center.

The new Plant of the Future S. Pellegrino emphasizes design, innovation and production, immersing visitors from all over the world in its own atmosphere.

“The main design element for S. Pellegrino is total immersion in nature,” said Bjarke Ingels. “I think you noticed that the building looks like a new and very modern addition to the Brembo Valley. It feels like the building has always been here. I hope that in the coming years this feeling will remain. ”

The project, covering the territories of San Pellegrino Terme and Zogno, is also being implemented in the spirit of good relations with local communities, to which the Sanpellegrino group of companies has always listened, supporting and cooperating.

“This initiative allows us to glorify the 120-year history of S. Pellegrino, which largely coincides with the finest historical period of our small town,” said the mayor of San Pellegrino Terme, Vittorio Millesi. “If we turn to the recent past, we will see that the relationship between San Pellegrino Terme and S. Pellegrino is certainly positive and clearly focused on promoting the region. For us, this fact is undoubtedly positive. He was emphasized by the excellent initiative for restyling the factory, which promises to become a tourist attraction. ”

The project, which is planned to be completed by 2022, required investments of a total complexity of 90 million euros, which were allocated to construction work, production systems, the logistics department, as well as restyling and expansion of the existing plant.

WHAT EVERYTHING BEGINS
The new S. Pellegrino house was developed in 2016, when the four best architectural firms in the world presented their ideas for building a plant. The BIG project met all the necessary selection criteria, meeting the requirements of environmental sustainability, the artistic vision of the company and the need to create an ideal working environment.

The new plant will proudly stand amid the changing seasons of the year, leaving their mark on the valley. He will also open a new chapter in the world’s most famous sparkling water, which has been bottled here over the past 120 years.
